Updated Module -- Level.php
« on: October 03, 2005, 12:41:40 pm »
This is updated with the v16.0 PvP Ranges according to http://hackersquest.org/boards/viewtopic.php?t=6018&start=15
Ranges looks correct for a L190 as thats the highest I have to test with.
I changed a color on one of the fonts from the original but anyway.. have fun.

Setup a FTP server so I don't have to keep pasteing the code into posts. :)

PM me if it doesn't seem to work for you.

These ranges are wrong I'm afraid, helpbot is wrong. There's someone who thinks that PvP ranges are computed by <level>*1.25 which seems to be correct on some levels, but not close to all. Follow this thread on hackersquest for more info on the subject. *clicky*. The big issue here is that noone actually test a certain lvl, so it's hard to figure out atm.

Zacix thats the same thread I posted above in the first post. For the most part it is correct. It'll need tweeking as time goes on I'm sure but it's better than having nothing at all to reference.

I just think it's totally wrong to post something which we all know is not correct. People start to trust what the bot says and when you say it's wrong, you get the face full of shit. Also, after a while you don't know what you can trust because everyone says "I know", but most people don't really know....cause they haven't tested.

imho, this is better than having the bots state pvp level 150-220 for levels 150+. At least this one is somewhat accurate instead of completely false.

Any1 have updated pvp ranges for 10-75 range?
     $level[15]="L <font color=#FFFF00>15</font>: team 10-20 | PvP 12-21
     $level[21]="L <font color=#FFFF00>21</font>: team 15-29 | PvP 17-26
Looks a bit inconsistent for me :)
Also I got request from orgmates about "grey mob max level" info in it.

So far - lvl10 is attackable by lvl14, now testing lvl15 :)

"grey mob max level" is a neat idea.

Especially if you are behind on tokens and trying to do the easiest missions possible with lowest green beasts inside it :)
Not that I know anyone who does that :)

Are all these updates in the newest BeBot in the .2 branch?  Was trying to download this to make 100% sure but what I get is far from a complete php file when I click that link

All of what updates Dabaron? That file hasn't changed since FC redid the upper end PvP ranges. If someone else has made corrections to the PvP ranges for this file then I have yet to see them post them.

I have just been getting constant complaints from people saying that the pvp ranges in the module are in-accurate.  I'll look more into it.

Collect the level range info from them if they know it to be wrong. Pretty easy to edit the php file to make it correct for them.

Also when you get complaints tell them those are very close estimates and can be off by a lvl or 2 in some of the level ranges. For the most part it very correct.

0.2.8 does not have the updated pvp level ranges this thread is about, it still says 150+ is ffa. I suppose that is what Dabaron asked originally.

It was, I didn't realize at first that the base bot didn't have the updated module in it.  I updated to this one (after comparing them) and all is well   ;)
