news and online

a couple versions ago, there was a moddede news, or online, i can remember which, but upon login, it would send a tell to the person logging in who is online (!online). i would love to see this for the SVN version. i have looked for it on the site/forums, and even looked through all the settings in bebot, but i havent found it yet Sad

Check the settings for Online, LogonSpam is the one you want.

LogonSpam: On, and always has been. i dunno what is wrong here Sad

as far as i know, i am running the most current version of the SVN. only thing i can think of, is that when i re-made the bot, i imported the members portion of the SQL database, as well as alts.

Are you showing up on the buddy list?

Maybe the trouble is there, the bot in the most current version is working perfectly for me.

yup, when i log in, it shows me logging in as owner.

as a side note....nobody in the org gets the login tell spam. the bot will say in gc and in priv who logged on/off, but no tells upon loggin in.

Is the Logon Notify core module really loaded? I'm asking (again) because tbh that's the only thing I can think of Huh

would the "meeting" module affect this stuff? as when i login, i get the news, and meeting link. ill comment out the meeting module and test, and let ya know the results.

edit.....nope, now after i did that, i get absolutely no tells at all upon login

another update. i completely re-installed the SVN version of the bot fcrom scratch. After all if this, and after the bot finally updated everything, i started a raid, logged in on an alt, and got the warning message from the other module.. i logged off that alt, logged another, and didnt get the message, not has it sent the warning messages to gc as it should. however, all the timer, when people log in, they do get the online tell. so, half the problem is solved now.
