AutoInvite function
« on: January 10, 2008, 10:32:30 pm »
I have the AutoInvite function flagged "on" but guests still do not receive invite to the bot.  If I make the person a member they receive the autoinvite to the chat channel from the bot.

Is there a way to allow this with guests instead of making everyone members?

Obviously I did "!autoinvite on" on the guest accounts.

The guests have to be on notify. Check !settings members, and set the min level for notify to GUEST. Or add all guests manually to notify.

Hey Alreadythere,

Thanks for the reply, but I'm still missing something.  It still does not auto inviting the guests.

Settings for Members

  Change to: [ On | Off ]
AutoInviteGroup:  guests
Description: Which user group(s) should be automatically marked for autoinvite if AutoInvite is set to On?
  Change to: [ none | members | guests | both ]
Mark_notify:  On
Description: Are members or guests automatically put on notify?
  Change to: [ On | Off ]
Notify_level:  1
Description: Are only members (2) or guests too (1) automatically put on notify if Mark_notify is true?
  Change to: [ 1 | 2 ]
ReceiveAnnounce:  Off
Description: Are members per default marked to receive mass announcements?
  Change to: [ On | Off ]
ReceiveInvite:  Off
Description: Are members per default marked to receive mass invites?
  Change to: [ On | Off ]

Either you have to remove and readd old guests, or add the old guests manually to the notify list. Changing the settings only influences any added guests in the future.

Thanks, after removing and re-adding the guests all works fine.

I had the same issue and resolved it as described above by deleting and readding the guests.
But now this guest is shown in !online not only in the guest list but also in the normal org list.
Any idea what may be wrong?

Regards,

 lulifuz
