Bot ignoring online command in org chat
« on: December 17, 2006, 12:39:11 am »
All other commands used in org chat work, online is the only one that refuses to work. It does work in tells though. How can I make it work in chat again?

v0.2.9, tried v0.2.10 but it did the same thing. It also seems that when 35+ members are on it doesn't work, but it does when less.

Could you check the console or log for any errors when this occurs?

I dropped the member list and that seemed to fix it, but now the bot is disconnecting with with a forcibly closed error on line 222 of AOchat.php right after it finishes updating he roster.

Sounds like you got kicked from the chatserver.
Maybe too much output from or too the bot? (like a very large window or a window with alot of links in it)

it does it after it finishes updating the guild roster, the times it said it didn't add any members it stayed on, but when it did update the roster to accommodate all the members it gets disconnected.

Hrm, sounds odd.
Although i am starting to suspect that Funcom recently tweaked limitations on the chatserver when it comes to buddy add/rem since i have started seeing some other strange disconnects.

However, to the problem at hand. It really only should do this once (adding entire guild), if it does it more than once it's an indicator that nothing is being written to the database. That would be my first and really only guess.

The disconnect has me stumped though :(

I am having the same issue  :-\

The bot will respond to !online adventurer or !online doctor.  It will not respond to just !online.  I don't see any errors on the bot console or the logs.  The bot responds just fine to tells with !online though.  Only has issue in guiild chat.  It is not unusual for us to have 35+ members online though so maybe it is related some how.  So far I haven't found any particular pattern this issues follows so I am really lost on how to solve it.

Just wondering if more people had seen errors like this.  I had the error on Bebot 0.2.11  I upgraded to 0.3.4 with a fresh install and a fresh database and the same thing is happening.  Everything else works fine.
